Since 2002, when the 13th Scientific Conference took place in Baghdad months before the war, we are planning to conduct the 14th Scientific Conference in Baghdad College of Medicine in Iraq.

College of Medicine, University of Baghdad was established in 1927 and had graduated many generations of physicians since the first graduates in 1935. The first Scientific Conference was held in 1984, and succeeding conferences were held annually or sometimes every two years.

This will be the first conference after the war, where Basic and Clinical medical papers will be presented at the College of Medicine main Halls. Three halls will be implemented for twice daily sessions for two days.

The main disciplines of research includes communicable diseases, cancer, injuries & burns, in addition to clinical and basic medical research. Lecture and poster presentations, in addition to case presentation and video shows will be implemented.

Papers will be processed by the scientific committee of the conference for acceptance until the 28th February.

Two day Conference starting on the 14th of April and ending on the 15th. Four workshops will be held titled:

1- Quality Assurance and Accreditation for Medical Colleges.

2- National Cancer Control Strategy in Iraq.

3- Minimally Invasive Surgery.

4- Hypertension Update: Current use of Sartan.

Plus around seventy papers will be presented in the fields of:

1- Communicable Diseases.

2- Cancer.

3- Basic Current Medical Research.

4- Clinical Current Medical Research.

5- Injuries and Burns.

6- Rare Case Presentations.

Plus Medicinal and Medical Book Shows.
